I just can`t wait for this. I am just waiting for the results.
i cant wait either... it all i can think about... do you know you score...
Hey leobrown I competed at the Garland store and I shot a score of 139. I am not sure if that is good or not its thursday and I haven`t heardanything from the TOC yet. I wish they could let everyone known when they would give out the results.
lautrey i competed in california and i had a 138... and about the results i cant wait either all i have heard is that if you made it to regionals you will be notified before the 15 of may
leobrown which store will you compete at?
if i make it to regionals its hard to say... texas is the closest state and it is the first one... but i honestly cant say... lautrey have you picked your poison...
Yep my best event is archery. I have been bow hunting since I was 11 and have enjoyed every year. I also tournement shoot as well. I started about 8 months ago and have won a few here and there. The fishing is my 2nd love. I have 2 kids and they have won the local kis fish here on Lake Tawakoni for the last 3 years. My son is just getting into archery and he is 10 yrs old. He did his first tournement on the Reinhart100 and got 6th. He was disappointed but he looked at it as a learning tool for the next one, so I think he`s hooked. I hope to see ya at the Grapevine shoot.
my best score was archery... i worked real hard to on all areas for the qualifier... i have only been archery hunting for five seasons now... and i also hope to see you at regionals if i make it... hunting and fishing is good for everyone of all ages i am sure that as your children grow older it will be something the want more and more...
I was wondering if anyone from the Dania, FL BPS has been watching this site. If so does anyone want to travel as a group. I checked the pdf and there are 5 of us that made the cut. If so contact me : email --> goldbukl@bellsouth.net to talk about it.
John I am having problems registering for regionals. It`s telling me my e-mail address is incorrect. Please help. I registered on the "Regional Error" e-mail but have not heard anything yet.
I will call Eric and confirm. Give me a few hours.
John, are we supposed to be receiving a confirmation email once we register for the regionals? If so, will it contain additional information like the time that we need to show up?
ZZ,
Waht's the name? Will check to see if you're on the list. There were some issues with confirmation e-mail at the start.
Hey John, lautrey here my brother also made the cut but has had trouble registering as well. His name is Phillip Harden, e-mail is frogbee77@yahoo.com . He will also compete at Grapvine. Please send conformation. He has been talking with Eric and my brother hasn`t gotten his e-mail,but has gotten a phone call saying he`s in. Can we confirm this. Thanks for all your help.
Hi John. Per my post above, can you please confirm my registration for Harrisburg, PA on 6/27. My name is Thomas Zendejas. I shot a 120 in Foxboro, MA for the qualifiers. Thanks.

Does Paul ( 3 Time Champ ) go striat to the championships or did he opt out if this years events.
the top three from the championships get an automatic invite to the next year. Pretty sure Paul will be back, unless his underwear modeling gig starts to pay better.
Good One John.
Good morning John,
I was wondering when we need to be at the site we choose to register? Are we going to have time to practise with your gear? And when will we be notified about making the finals? Thank you for your time, Terry
Interntational H / Terry-
You need to be at the site between 9AM and 10AM to register. Competition is between 10AM and 3PM.
More details can be found at http://toc.fieldandstream.com/event-info/regionals
You will not be able to practice with the gear prior to the competition. You will be allowed a couple of practice shots prior to your turn.
Hey John,
What will be the weight of the plug/lure for the bait casting portion of the competition? Thanks
Justin
I still have had no response from Bass Pro or field and stream concerning my entry form. I scored 132, scores were verified by each person at each station and the entry was turned in. The Bass pro person won't return calls. The only thing I get from Field and Stream is a sorry we cant find the entry. If you could just find out who was taking the entries at the OKC store this could be solved. The thing that I cant stand the most is the lack of communication on the iussue.
My name is Tom"LT"Rager. This is my 3rd time at the TOC regionals. Will be in the 'Burg,Pa.on Jun 27.Best to all.
JTLHUNTER,
Sorry I missed your question; there will be a decent variety of weights and design.
To everyone CONGRATS ON MAKING REGIONALS.This looks to be an exciting event and can`t wait to meet everyone from the blogs. It`s seven days until "T" time in Grapevine,TX and fully expect a graet event. This is my first time and look forward to this for many years to come.
I was wondering about the bows, I understand that they will be provided but will we have an alotted time to tune them in? How will this work? thanks, danny baker
Hi Danny -
All of the bows will be sighted in. They all come with peep sights, hostage arrow rests, d-loops and are sighted in to two distances. You are allowed 4 practice shots (15 & 25 yd block targets available).
You will not be able to tune them in any way. You have to make adjustments to your shot based on how your practice shots go.
Well, anybody have any idea on the outcome of the event in Grapevine, Texas? How many actually showed up for the event, what they thought about the set up, thoughts about the equipment you had to use, and any scores to be shared with us?
I'd like to add to the request by sehall, and ask about the positives and negatives of anyones' "overall" experience, and ask what WE as competitors can do to help improve the event in the future? P.S. who is advancing from Grapevine?
Both Brian and Tom have advanced. I have some complaints. First about a shot that I had made and have a witness to it. I was lucky enough to hit the same spot twice in air rifle and instead of getting the score the judge called it "ZERO". Then when I asked to see the target it was already pulled off and thrown in the garbage bag. Issues like this should be taken to light and not ignored. Next the bows. Everyone was having trouble with the bows not being paper tuned. Arrows were spinning clock wise and counter clock wise. The bow that I had shot was dead on and I was impressed on the speed. The arm-guards were also causing some problems for competitors by the string hitting the guard while the arrows were released. I was also impressed with the gift bags. It was well worth just being at regionals. I had a blast with Brian and all the other guys and girl. She did very well and hope her the best for the future. If I plan to compete agian next year I will atleast have a better idea on what to expect from judges and the competition.
I had a blast the bows where in bad shap I lost about 40 points becouse of a bad setup. I say this becouse I can be very (areo splitting) accurate at even grater ranges than we shot with a properly setup bow mine or yours lefthanded. Todays newbows make it almost imposibule for a righthanded shooter to setup a lefthanded bow. When I told the rangemen about the bow he said find another I shot 3 I had to settle on 1 of the bad ones.Archery is my first love im not blowing smoke. When someone competes you expect apples to appels. Chaallenges are won by mistakes the one who made the lest of them. This was not the case it was luck of your draw length 28"-29" righthanded wase the one to shoot after talking to people.Shorter draws an longer draws had no chance. This is only for futare challenge setups. Will see u next year.
Does anyone else have a comment about the competition @ Grapevine or have pharden and myself hit the nail on the head?
Were the 4 skills challanging and fun? I'm interested in the skills portion. Any comments? Also did you use the 760 air rifle? and how many pumps were you allowed?
Yes the skills are fun and challanging but I cant let the cat out of the bag everyone will do fine
Just make sure the time is stopped when it is supposed to stop. Also just bear in mind that you will need to go fast.
I would like to here from any one who is going to be in the 'Burg,Pa.regionals.I'm going to be the "old guy" there.Best to all competitors.
I just want to give all of the guys / gals at Field and Stream a BIG thanks for everything and what you do. I competed in Nashville, Tenn. and everyone that was there to compete had a great time and there was alot of friendships made. Thanks again Field and Stream I am looking forward to next years chance to meet everyone again!
To ematee,Do you know aprox. how many have registered for the Pa.regional?
ltrager my father and I will be at pa regionals.
i second sehall's comment and sehall i'll see you there next year.
ltrager -
There are about 30 registered for H-burg.
Just want to say THANK YOU to all the people involved in the TOC and the event in Nashville. It was a great experience to have the chance to compete with everyone. You all did a wonderful job. Look forward to seeing everyone next year.
Hey john and eric just wanted to let you know what a great job everyone did in independance. I think highly of the staff for waiting around for one competitor to arrive. I enjoyed everything except getting sixth. let me know if i can help in anyway at dogwood. I'll keep in touch with drew. so either let me know or tell drew thanks jason
I would like to thank John, Eric and everybody envolved in organizing the TOC comp it was my first time to compete. I was in Grapevine and had a great time with my family, freinds and meeting some very interesting people. I felt very honored to qualify for regionals and look forward for next year.
Who are the top three from Independance?
I competed in Independence and had a good time. My only complaint is I flew all the way from California to compete and the longest bow length was only a 29". Being 6'4" and having at least a 31" draw length, I was at a severe disadvantage. Maybe next year they can accomodate all heights and draw lengths. It was nice meeting everyone in Independence and hope to compete again.
oh one more thing i liked was beating yarman bad enough not to hear another speech.
I competed in the Regionals at Harrisburg PA and though I was very disappointed in my performance I would like to see the scores of the Regionals. I saw on one of the blogs to go to: http://toc.fieldandstream.com/event-info/regionals. I don't see It!
